Alumni News:
Grace Marko is a senior at Boca Raton High School. A 4-year varsity basketball player. Grace is ranked 64 overall Class 2017 in the US by prospects nation.com, and 34th wing player. She officially signed to attend and play basketball at Boston College.
Grace played 8 years of Boca Hoops. She won one Boca Hoops Tournament Championship and was selected as a Robert Mufson Sportsmanship Award Recipient. After playing Boca Hoops, Grace joined the Boca Hoops coaching staff to coach our Boca Hoopsters.
Some other aspects of Grace: She is an amazing drummer, juggler, golfer, and ping-pong player. She loves country music and country music concerts. She is an avid boater, so Grace likes to fish, wakeboard, skim board and scuba dive. She also likes to cook, especially stir-fry. Grace, as you see, is a very well rounded individual.
Grace on Boca Hoops… “Playing Boca Hoops at a young age helped form my passion for the game. Later, as a Boca Hoops coach, I was able to help younger girls learn the game, be good teammates, have fun and hopefully I left a positive impact on them, just like I got from the coaches and staff when I played! I will take my Boca Hoops experiences and friendships with me, after high school, playing at Boston College. Thank you Dr. Forstot and Mr. Doyle.
Rachelle Levy is a senior at Boca Raton High School. She officially signed to attend and play basketball at Harvard University. Rachelle achieved academiclly: AP Scholar with Honors, AP Human Geography Outstanding Student, Top 10% of class, National Honor Society (10th, 11th, 12th Grade), National Science Honor Society (10th, 11th grade).
Extra curriclaractivites: Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (9th – 12th Grade), Boca High Girls Basketball (9th – 12th Grade), Girl Scouts of America (Kindergarten – 8th Grade), Tender, Love, and Care Club (10th – 12th Grade)
Multiple comminuty hours projects.
Rachell played Boca Hoops from the ages of 7-12. Rachelle says, “For many years I had great fun at the annual Boca Hoops Summer camps across the city. It was during my time in Boca Hoops that my love for basketball grew.
The Boca Hoops Family wants to congratulate Grace Marko and Rachelle Levy and their families on this great accomplishment. Grace’s and Rachelle’s names will go on display on the Boca Hoops web site, the Alumni Players Section.
